Dancers and The Dance, a book of short stories

from The Modern Dancer

....You missed the invention of the VCR, Ted. It’s one of the greatest advancements of the century – especially for the sick, the wounded, the infirm, the dying, the aged, the lame, and the weak. Dig this – I’m too tired most of the time to get out of bed so I look up movie titles in the brochure of my local video rental store. Ted, you can’t imagine. It’s better than delivery pizza, take-out Chinese. I can rent any movie I feel like seeing. Last week I visited the Wild West and, of course, I was thinking about Loring’s Billy the Kid.
